Moltmann in Africa
Jürgen Moltmann was declared the greatest theologian of the 20th century in the finals of the 2006 Systematic Theology World Cup, staged by Finnish theologian Patrik Hagman to coincide with the 2006 FIFA World Cup played in Germany. Moltmann defeated Hans Urs von Balthasar in a hotly contested systematic theology final, while Italy defeated France on penalty kicks in the soccer final.
I’ll be teaching a course on Moltmann for third year students at the College of the Transfiguration in Grahamstown, South Africa. Rereading Moltmann, I am reminded of how formative he has been for my work as a parish priest. Good theology in the service of the Church.

We love reading and seeing your pictures. Joe we did smile seeing you with a beard. We have heard you refer to Moltmann in your sermons so I know you will enjoy teaching on his theology. Amy do you know yet what you will be teaching? Sending love and prayers. We hope that planter facitis is getting better and disappears ,Joe.
