Today we got our shots.
Good news: People traveling to just South Africa don’t need to get any. We got vaccinations necessary for visiting other places in Africa.
More good news: We can get vaccinations! Really, it’s amazing. People have figured this out and we can go to an office in North Carolina and get vaccinations that will help protect us against life-threatening diseases in other parts of the world.
Yes, it hurts a little, but it’s completely worth it. And it makes our upcoming mission assignment feel more real. Especially on our left arms.
Following our shots, we visited the North Carolina Museum of Natural History that features some great dinosaur exhibits, an exhibit about viruses, and a really big globe.
