Ben’s Backpack
In preparation to leave, we gave away things we won’t need in the next few years (okay, or maybe ever). It’s made us really happy to know that other people will get more use out of things than we do. Great example–our friend and former parishioner, Ben, used this backpack for his boy scouts camping trip, staying in a tent in 20° F! (Ben is much hardier than we are.) Way to go, Ben!
In addition to giving some stuff a better home, another gift from Ben was this prayer:

Thanks Scott! You’re right–anytime you have the option to take the prayer and leave some weight behind, that’s probably the best way to go. Thanks for that.
