The Sun in Grahamstown
It’s winter in Grahamstown and surprisingly cold. One morning, while standing outside the chapel blowing on my hands trying to warm up, a student smiled and said, “The sun in Grahamston is only for light.” I laughed, getting the implied “and not for heat.” Most students are from warmer places in the province so they too are wearing their hats and hoodies trying to stay warm. But by midday when the sun has been up for a bit, the chill is taken out of the air and it is quite pleasant. And when we enter chapel and the students and staff sing the opening hymn the love of Christ warms my heart.
Tis beautiful! Recalls having a “sundowner” on the safari we did n Kruger years ago.

Sounds wonderful. Hope we can make to Kruger at some pint. I hear it’s great. Peace and love, Joe
