Amy Richter to help with Lambeth 2020
Amy Richter is one of 25 scholars from across the Anglican Communion who has been invited by Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, to help prepare for the next Lambeth Conference in 2020. The primary focus of Lambeth 2020 will be on God’s Church for God’s world: walking, listening and witnessing together, especially as seen through the lens of 1 Peter. The first meeting of the group of scholars will be in late November in England. I don’t know about you, but I am already feeling more hopeful about the next Lambeth Conference!
That’s SUPER and just think I had the honor of studying with Amy. It is really a small world. To bad we cannot get it together so we all could live in peace.

I am rarely hopeful about the Lambeth Conference, but with Amy as a Sherpa, there is indeed hope for a better outcome than in years past.

I am with you ,Joe. She will be a balm of love and wisdom and vision and through her a fresh breath of the Holy Spirit will flow. This is great news. Love to both of you. You are always on our heart and in our prayers. I loved what you wrote about the Transfiguration. I hope your foot is allowing you to walk with out pain. So good that you could climb the mountains of Scotland. Love and peace in Jesus. The students must be so grateful to have you and Amy. Deede

Thanks Deede. And thanks especially for your prayers. They are palpably felt and we are grateful. Thanks also for asking after my foot. I am about 90%, thanks be to God, and am enjoying getting back into running. Really quite a transformation. We do love our students and are so blessed to be teaching here and learning so much from them as well. Peace and love, Joe

Congratulations Amy, the preparation for the Conference will surely be a success with you participating. Paul and I keep you both in our prayers. During lunch a colleague of mine from Hagerstown mentioned Amy’s invitation and how proud we must be, so you have cheers coming from all over the State. We miss you both.
