Another YASCer in Mission
Here is another glimpse into the the life and ministry of one of our Young Adult Service Corps (YASC) members. Madeline Roberts is from the Episcopal Diocese of Maine and is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal. She serving and living in the Tsedaqah community, an intentional missional community, in Liverpool, England. Tsedaqah is Hebrew for righteousness or justice (you may also find it spelled with a k instead of a q).

In Madeline’s most recent blog post, she shares the rule of life by which the community is living.
The Rule of Life encourages us to live a more intentional life of worship. It focuses on six different words: that we are called to pray, read, and learn, and we are sent to tell, serve, and give.
Check out Madeline’s blog, and see the links to her fellow community members’ (Felicity, from Ghana, and Sam, from the UK) blogs and to the Diocese of Liverpool’s Rule of Life website.
Since reading Madeline’s post, I’ve been reflecting on those great six words—pray, read, learn, tell, serve, give—and my own details of how I’m trying to live them out.
What or how are you praying? What are you reading and learning? How are you telling, serving, giving? Thanks, Madeline!
Great words to live by. I know I have work on a couple of these words harder but as I do my mission work and observe others it seems to come easier.
Godspeed Peter

Thank you very much for your posts, ehich make your readers aware of what’s going on in the wider world of the Anglican Communion. We need to hear about how the Holy Spirit is moving in the Church beyond our (too often) insular national church. While ACNS reports, your posts add an immediacy and a feeling of connection that a news service does not convey. Keep on!
Blessings.
