St. John’s Leadership Academy
We are back in Makhanda/Grahamstown after a very good visit in Cape Town with folks from the St. John’s Leadership Academy (SJLA). Here are couple of paragraphs from their description of the program:
The St. John’s Leadership Academy is forming pioneering missional church leaders for our complex South African context. Preparing men and women who are discerning and testing a call to ordination within the Anglican Church of Southern Africa as well as those called to pioneering leadership within community or in faith based organisations.
It’s a 3 year programme designed around practical hands on ministry experience (Hands), academic theological and related studies (Head) and personal formation (Heart). We are seeking to grow leaders through group learning, personal mentoring and instilling disciplines of self-reflection and evaluation rooted in personal and corporate rhythms of prayer and worship.
Pray God’s blessing on the students and staff of SJLA!
Sounds great hope the students realize what their future could be.
Godspeed Peter
