School’s Out For Winter!
I just submitted my final grades for the semester!
It is hard to believe that our year at the College of Transfiguration is almost over. We fly home on Friday for some rest and relaxation, time with family and friends, and to apply for a new visa before returning to the University of KwaZulu Natal in September. There are so many things for which I am grateful during our time at COT, I cannot possibly name them all. I feel truly blessed to have served alongside a group of extraordinary people.
Today, however, as I submit my grades, I think of my students, for whom it has been a privilege to serve as their teacher. I have grown to love each of them and I thank God for their willingness to answer God’s call to serve in Christ’s Church. I know them as brothers and sisters in Christ and see them as colleagues in ministry.
I ask your prayers for all my students this year who were in my Moltmann seminar, my Augustine class, and my Christian Ethics class. They are, in no particular order,
Nicolette Segeel
Luvuyo Mvaphantsi
Martha Mokhutsoane
Enrico Heuvel
Theo Storm
Tercia Meyer
Bassy Molefi
Bhekisisa Mazulu
Mlamuti Masondo
Jonathan Bukuto
Edilson Eisteira
Thamsanqa Latha
Zipho Mbambo
Tebogo Monyai
Patrick Msengana
Rendani Mudau
Pearl Nzuza
Vuyo Saphuka
Simphiwe Zulu
Vimba Mazibuko
Tsi Tso Molefe
Please say a prayer for them, for their continuing studies, and for their ministries in the Anglican Church of Southern Africa.

Thank you Deede and Jim. Your prayers have meant so much to us during this past year. We have been sustained by them and I am so grateful for your prayers for my students. We are truly connected in the Lord’s ministry by prayer. We are looking forward to a good summer and hope to visit the Adirondacks and climb a few mountain. Please give our love to all. Love, Joe

Yes I will say some prayers for your students. I hope they understand what you and Amy gave to them through your mission. I would certainly think they would. Have a safe trip home and relax.
Godspeed Peter
