My first novel, Antimony, has been published!
My wonderful mentor when I was a curate (newly ordained clergy person assisting the rector of a parish), the Rev. Richard J. Kirk, told me it is really important when you serve in a church to have some other project, something outside the parish, you’re working on. It should be something you’re passionate about and something that has no bearing on your job. If you succeed at it, great! If you fail at it, oh well, you had fun trying! Either way, it will help you stay whole and interested and interesting.
Antimony has been one of those outside the parish passion projects for me. Better still, it does have to do with my larger vocation because it uses biblical themes and the ancient Jewish myth of the fall of the Watchers as backstory. I hope it will inspire people to want to learn more, while having a great time reading a great story.
