Morning Prayer for Sunday January 17
Welcome to Morning Prayer from the Parish of Pasadena and Cormack in Newfoundland! Today’s service is led by Rev. Amy Richter, Rev. Joe Pagano, Kitty Rice (reading the first lesson, 1 Samuel 3:1-10), Ed and Debbie Humber (leading “Here I am, Lord,” #315 in St. David’s Junior Praise, and “Will You Come and Follow Me”/”The Summons,” #430 in Common Praise and #340 in St. David’s Junior Praise), and Wanda Osmond (leading the canticle, A Song of David). The sermon, “Can Anything Good Come out of Nazareth?” is by Rev. Joe and is based on the gospel lesson, John 1:43-51.
You can watch a video recording of the service here:
You can listen to an audio recording of the service here.
We recorded the beginning and end of the service near the Heritage Trail in Gillams, NL. The stained glass windows that accompany “Softly and Tenderly” are in St. George of England Church in Cormack and St. David of Wales Church in Pasadena. They were all made by Sunhound Glassworks in St. John’s, NL.
Thank you for joining us today!
