Liturgy for Ash Wednesday

Here is a spoken service for Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. The service comes from The Book of Alternative Services of The Anglican Church of Canada and is about 25 minutes long. You can watch the service here:

You can listen to just the audio here.

Thank you for joining us today. God’s blessings for a holy Lent.

  1. Great to be with you in Ash Wednesday service.
Thank you both. Wonderful to stay in touch this way.
I am wondering what “awful British period shows” Amy likes on PBS”?
probably same ones I like. You are a good husband Joe.
Seriously, important to face my mortality – although difficult, it does
make life more precious and rich.
    love, jo

  3. Thank you so much for the service. I really enjoyed it and it had such deep meanings. These last several months have been a nightmare but, I can finally see the light. The surgeries are over, I hope, and things are looking much better. It felt so great to share an Ash Wednesday with you both. Judye
