Good Friday

Here is a worship service for Good Friday. Thanks to parishioners Sabrina Short (reading the first lesson, Isaiah 52:13–53:12), Gail Roberts, Marilyn Simmons, and Bob Mercer (reading the Passion according to John—John 18:1–19:37), Mona and Gerard Edwards (Double Vision, leading Were You There), and The Wildwood Singers of St George’s Anglican Church (The Old Rugged Cross, solo by Jodie Rice). The sermon is by Rev. Joseph Pagano. The words of the liturgy come from the Book of Alternative Services of the Anglican Church of Canada. The paintings shown during the passion reading are by Giotto. The window shown during the first lesson is “Tree of Life” by Roger Wagner, in St. Mary’s Church, Iffley, Oxford).

You can listen to an audio version of the service here.

Thank you for joining us. May you know God’s grace and peace as we walk in the way of the cross.
