For today’s reflection, Joe shares the conclusion of his essay, “The Consolation of Desolate Landscapes: Hiking in Newfoundland During the Pandemic.”

In this section, he refers to “the voice from the whirlwind” from the biblical book of Job. If you want to read that passage, you can find it in Job 38:1–42:6.

You can listen to the reflection here.

Thank you for joining us today.

  1. Great essay, Joe! Listening, I could almost imagine being Job — if not Joe on snowshoes in Newfoundland! (But then I adjusted the thermostat ever so slightly, and I was back in Annapolis.) It’s good to share your experiences and reflections, however vicariously! Best regards to you and Amy! Paul
