Cheerio
“Say ‘Cheerio,’ not goodbye,” says one of our dear friends in Newfoundland.
So we’ve been saying, “Cheerio,” and “Until we meet again,” and a lot of “Thank you.”
Our time at the Parish of Pasadena/Cormack has come to an end. It’s time to return to our home diocese of Maryland. We have so enjoyed our time here in ministry, meeting wonderful people, exploring beautiful landscape, learning new stories and songs, and finding out that we love Newfoundland winters!
In chronological order, going back in time, thank you so much to the people of the Parish of Pasadena and Cormack, Queen’s College, the Diocese of Western Newfoundland, and to the Rt. Rev John Organ for allowing us to serve here. Thank you to the dear people we met in the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, the College of Transfiguration, and the University of KwaZulu Natal, and to the Office of Global Partnerships of The Episcopal Church, and especially to Elizabeth Boe, David Copley, Yanick Fourcand, and Chuck Robertson. Thank you to the people of St Anne’s in Annapolis, MD for their support in commissioning and sponsoring us for mission.
And thank you for being part of this journey with us. We are grateful for your comments and especially for your prayers.
Staring August 1, we will be serving at All Saints Episcopal Church in Frederick, Maryland as Interim Rector and Interim Associate Rector. We hope to use the wonderful things we have learned in the past four and a half years participating in this part of God’s mission in our new call.
